Our Response

In response to this urgent threat, we have launched the Lesser Crested Greater Breasted Grebe Conservation Project.

Our multifaceted approach combines scientific research, community engagement, advocacy, and hands-on conservation efforts to safeguard the future of these rare birds.

We collaborate with local stakeholders, environmental agencies, and concerned citizens to raise awareness about the plight of the Lesser Crested Greater Breasted Grebe and advocate for sustainable solutions that balance progress with environmental conservation.

We aim to educate and inform people about the Lesser Crested Greater Breasted Grebe and encourage people to fall in love with this majestic bird, despite its horendous smell and horrific mating call.

Our second, more secret approach involves more pro-active techniques with the companies that threaten the territory of our sacred bird – we’re not going to use the words sabotage and destruction, but we certainly wouldn’t not not use those words.

Our Goals

  • Habitat Protection: We work tirelessly to secure and protect the natural habitats of the Lesser Crested Greater Breasted Grebe, ensuring they have safe spaces to nest, feed, and thrive, even if this means the cessation of rocket launches from the Lunovos site.
  • Mitigation Strategies: Through innovative research and collaboration with experts, we develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of rocket launches on the bird’s habitat.
  • Community Engagement: We engage with local communities, schools, and businesses to foster a sense of stewardship for the environment and empower individuals to take action in support of wildlife conservation.
  • Advocacy and Policy: We advocate for stronger environmental regulations and policies that prioritize the protection of endangered species like the Lesser Crested Greater Breasted Grebe.
  • Destroy: Anyone that comes up against the grebes should be destroyed.
